Wes Anderson Inspired Kid’s Bedroom Makeover
My daughter’s carpet has seen better days and questionable art…
So it’s time for a serious upgrade! She loves pink and red, so I went all out and colour-drenched her entire bedroom. Thanks to your brilliant tips on Instagram (you're the best!), I bid farewell to the dodgy carpet and covered it with a gorgeous gingham Ruggable rug. Washable? Check! Stain-resistant? Double-check! Lightweight? You bet! I went for a chic flatwoven cover and a comfy, non-slip pad, which laid the foundation for finishing the rest of her room. Inspired by Wes Anderson, I moved her desk back in, installed scalloped shelves (which I made from scratch a couple of years ago!), and created a cute gallery wall using secondhand frames, which I filled with her favourite stickers, keepsakes, ribbons, mementoes and treasures. I made a tiny fabric house using the Ruggable box and thrifted fabric, and created a little art zone so she’s not tempted to draw allllll over her new Ruggable rug. But even if she did, at least we can wash it with ease
