How To Make A Scalloped Tablecloth (using thrifted duvet covers!)

I’m alllll about adding scallops this summer

Spring is here and I can’t stop thinking about dining outside and all the table settings I’ll create. The thing is, tablecloths can cost a few bob, and since I’ve always wanted to make a scalloped tablecloth, I decided to do exactly that using not one, but two duvet covers I thrifted from a charity shop for only $20. And what better excuse than knowing our new Castlery Evelen Dinnerware Set was about to arrive? We also ordered a new Castlery Serena Floor Mirror for our bedroom and I’d be lying if I didn’t think for a bit that the tablecloth would make a great skirt…

For the record, I’m no sewing expert but if you know how to turn a sewing machine on, change the bobbin and thread, and sew a straight stitch, you too can make this scalloped tablecloth. Go on, you won’t regret it! Plus I’ll be by your side every step of the way over on YouTube, where I’ve just shared a detailed tutorial showing the process, including lots of tips to make it super easy for you to make at home.
